It’s become an end-of-season custom at many clubs for players who have children to bring them onto the pitch after the final home match of the season, and that was the case at Liverpool on Sunday.

As the fathers in Jurgen Klopp’s squad reflected upon the glorious reign of the German as it came to an end yesterday, their kids were amusing themselves with a playful kickaround on the Anfield pitch after the 2-0 win over Wolves.

One of Wataru Endo’s offspring was a star of the show, displaying impressive dribbling technique and even pulling off a delightful Cruyff turn to get away from Joe Gomez’s son, although he was soon stopped in his tracks by a crunching tackle from Rocco Robertson.

The words ‘like father, like son’ spring to mind when seeing that moment from the Scotland captain’s first-born, who also seems to take no prisoners on a football pitch, even when it’s only a friendly end-of-season kickabout!
